Trivia Tuesday: This Author Works with the United Nations to Develop Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Jeffrey D. Sachs is one of the world’s foremost experts on sustainable development and the fight against poverty. He is the Director of The Earth Institute, Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University. Sachs is also a special advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations. He holds this position with the current Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and he served in a similar capacity for Guterres’s predecessors, Ban Ki-Moon and Kofi Annan. Sachs published The Age of Sustainable Development with Columbia University Press in 2015. It explores interactions between society, the economy, and the physical environment in order to demonstrate means by which a holistic strategy might help our world achieve economic prosperity, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.

  1. Professor’s Jeffrey Sachs is very importante research in sustainable in the earth, his experience in the classroom and in important institutions gave him the insight to make this wonderful book and so important for future research on development suatentavel to the world.
