Columbia University Press Author Events for December!
To close out the year, our author events in December cover a wide variety of subjects and span the country.
Highlights include several events with John Nathan, translator of Light and Dark, discussing Natsume Sōseki’s novel and its Jamesian elements. Joseph Cirincione, who has recently appeared on the Rachel Maddow Show and other outlets to discuss the Iran nuclear deal, will also be speaking about his just-published book Nuclear Nightmares: Securing the World Before It Is Too Late.
For those interested in more illicit and/or coastal activities, Peter Maguire and Mike Ritter, authors of Thai Stick: Surfers, Scammers, and the Untold Story of the Marijuana Trade continue their very successful author tour. Finally, David Stark will discuss the interviews he conducted and Nancy Warner will talk about the photographs she took for their book This Place, These People: Life and Shadow on the Great Plains. Nancy Warner’s photographs and David Stark’s interviews and reflections provide fresh perspective on the history and culture of a distinctly American phenomenon.
